Clients get to experience authentic Ottoman Turkey as we stop at the spectacular Nizamiye Masjid in Midrand for salaah and a short tour.  Set on 10 hectares of land, the Masjid was built at a cost of several hundred million rands and is a smaller replica of the Selimiye Camii mosque in Edirne, Turkey. It is the first Ottoman-style mosque as well as the biggest masjid in the Southern Hemisphere.

The next 2 days are not just about land rovers and game drives, it’s also about the sheer diversity of nature.

Make the journey north to the only town in Southern Africa that is completely surrounded by water — St Lucia. Did you know hippopotamus roam the streets out here? Jump onboard your jetty for a leisurely and often surprising cruise through the estuary — home to several pods of hippopotamus and a good few crocodiles.

After a hearty lunch take a drive further north to an award winning Private Game Reserve renowned for their great cheetah densities and lion sightings. Your ranger on your game drives is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable on the reserve and knows it like the back of his hand. Embark on a 3/4 hour afternoon/evening game drive with an emphasis on big cats. Fingers crossed.

Bright and early the following day your ranger will whisk you back to the reserve for a choice between a Big 5 Morning Game Drive or a Walking Safari with an experienced armed ranger. Enjoy a 3/4 hour experiencing the African wilderness intimately tracking the iconic Big 5 + other species such as giraffe, cheetah, wild dogs and more.
